· Mary, (4 years, 2 months) lays on the ground while the teacher traces her full body. Mary then looks at the portrait then she begins to draw the eyes with the eyelashes. After that, she then draws the nose followed by a mouth where she draws the lines in the mouth representing the teeth and other lines on the tip of the hands representing the fingernails. · Thereafter, Mary then focuses on counting the buttons on her dress by touching each one of them. She then draws the same number of circles as the number of buttons on the portrait dress representing the buttons on her dress. · After that, Mary then focuses on drawing the headband on the head of her portrait as well as the shirt. Looks at her outfit then draws the collar like the one on her shirt on the portrait. · Mary then says to the teacher, “look at mines, I did my nails” The teacher then assist Mary to draw the shoe and then may say “I need my socks), Mary then checks her feet and she then draws her fit on the paper. · After that, Mary then paints her portrait using a similar color of her outfit. · The teacher then tries to know how she knows the details to add. Mary then says, “I looked at my clothes and know,” she is then asked by the teacher the sentence to be written based on the portrait Mary created. Mary then says “This is my starfish” then she laughs, · Mary then writes on a piece of paper while being helped by the teacher, “this is me”. After that, she then spells the words loudly, then she looks at the teacher while writing the words down on the, she says, “help me, teacher”. |

Mary is sitting on a chair and then she tells the teacher “It’s me,” in this statement, she refers to the portrait. then the teacher askes who added the information, Mary then says, “I did” The teacher then asks her to tell what details she added, Mary then takes a good look at the portrait after that, she says “my eyes, added my rubber band, then the teeth, and also added my eyes”.

Language development is the skill of learning to express self in order to associate with others. Involving the child actively help her language development. Parents as well as teachers should involve the children in various activities such as singing songs, reading, playing et cetera. We go to church every Sunday and some of the activities that occur in the church include, singing, memorizing verses et cetera.

Mary’s interests include: Toys, being outside, places talking to adults

What makes Mary happy is when she shouted at, she becomes angry, scared and sometimes even she cries.
However, what makes Mary happy is when she is given gifts, and when I play with her.
