Behind Silicon Valley’s swoon over Artificial Intelligence
From the many evident technological advances, there are indeed transformational innovations. From Silicon Valley, the rise in artificial intelligence and robotics is undoubtedly a new blend in the tech industry. I do agree that new technologies will have a payoff in the computing world and the commercial internet. However, again, just like the previous era, the industry is likely to underperform. I do support the fact that the investors and the innovators in this field will underperform due to the pressure and the demand in this field.
The rise of new technologies such as that of the inventory checker by the Bossa Nova Robotics is undoubtedly one of the outstanding innovation of the society. One reason for this is nature and how the robots were so skilled enough to automate their activities. I think this is so unique and is likely to change how people conduct everything in inventory management in the coming years
Both the entrepreneurs and the financers are now focusing on the AI. With 19 companies going for the design and the manufacture of self-driving cars, it shows how much the industry is moving towards innovation. Due to the nature of the ever-changing technologies, this was the reason for the boom in this industry set, The reason for this is the rise in dozen of companies rushing to secure investment in many available robotic niches
. The information by the chief executive of the Boss Nova is correct that there is a spike as there is a rise in mobile robots, such as aerial drones. It is surprising how the tech industry is growing fast. The estimation of the investment that it will hit the $1.2 billion this year is likely to pass as the rush, and the innovation in the field continues to boom (Lee 2018)
The technology industry is unique in the concept that when there is a new idea, the whole valley swarm at it. From this perspective, I agree with Jen Hsun Huan as we have seen his move towards artificial intelligence from his core task of graphic processors. However, investment in this industry must be taken cautiously to avoid the frequent cases of plunging common in this sector. This was the case with social media, which soon sunk as social media become a mature market sector. A mature industry meant the loss of intense previous colossal attention. For this reason, I think this is what is pushing the many social media platform to get into the sector of artificial intelligence. This is the reason that sold Facebook and Google to move into this sector.
The silicon valley is undoubtedly on the verge of even innovation of better AI technologies. The industry is seen reinventing itself and is now following the latest tech in the industry. One reason for this, I think, is the Goldrush and the basic idea that sectors are built on the core idea of bringing up a new way. The rush in the industry for talent is seen to be very intense. AI will remain the future of innovation in the technology industry(Lee, 2018). Even though there have been surges in this sector, I support John Shoch on the idea that deep learning will make a significant difference in the coming future for AI companies.
The industry will continue no tribble. Instead, there will be a rise in new tools that will push innovation further, just as said by John Shoch. The case of overpromising and underdelivers will not be the case this time as the industry is well set, and talent in AI is on the lead. The sector will outshine with AI being placed in a variety of technologies in the innovation industry.
