Two Major Reform Efforts

Use the readings from Module 2, your own knowledge and experience, and other relevant sources you find to create a presentation (e.g., PowerPoint, Prezi, Wiki, etc.) to describe the two major reform efforts. The format of the presentation is up to you, but it should be the equivalent of 12-15 PowerPoint slides. Your presentation should:

· Clearly describe the two major reform efforts.

· Compare and contrast the two major reform efforts.

· Discuss their impact on current educational reform efforts.

· Utilize the notes section (or otherwise contain presenter notes) to elaborate on points made throughout the presentation.

· Reference sources (in-text citations) throughout the presentation.

Include a reference slide at the end, citing sources in APA format.

SLP Assignment Expectations

Assignment-driven criteria 35% (11 points) Demonstrates mastery covering all key elements of the assignment in a substantive way.

Critical thinking/Application to Professional Practice 25% (7 points) Demonstrates mastery conceptualizing the problem, and careful consideration of experts or research in the field of educational leadership.  Module content and concepts are thoroughly and thoughtfully analyzed, synthesized, and evaluated thoroughly. Conclusions are logically presented and applied to professional practice in an exceptional manner.

Scholarly writing 10% (3 points) Demonstrates mastery and proficiency in scholarly written communication at the doctoral level.

Quality of references and organization 10% (3 points) Demonstrates mastery using relevant and quality sources and uses appropriate, relevant, and compelling content from the module readings or other sources to support ideas, and convey understanding of the topic and shape the work.

Citing sources 10% (3 points) Demonstrates mastery applying APA formatting standards to both in-text citations and the reference list.

Professionalism and Timeliness 10% (3 points) Demonstrates excellence in taking responsibility for learning; adhering to course requirement policies and expectations.  Assignments submitted on time or collaborated with professor for an approved extension on due date.
