Executive Summary

An executive summary is a concise description of what the report contains. Pull important points from the body of the report and put them into the executive summary. Include the major findings, analysis and conclusions. A good executive summary allows the reader to understand the basic content of the report without reading the report. 150 to 250 words. This must include summary of the 4Ps and whether exporting will work in this country.

· How would you segment the market in the target country?

· What market entry method would you use for each segment?

· Include agreement terms with other companies e.g., agents, distributors

Pricing Strategy

· What pricing strategy do you recommend?

· What Inco terms do you recommend?

· Are tariffs a major factor in the target country?

· What method of payment will you recommend?

· What currency do you recommend using?

· Do you recommend any specific financial assistance programs?

Product Strategy

· What are the end user considerations?

· Are their environmental conditions to consider in the target country?

· What governmental factors need to be considered?

· Export licensing

· Target country certification

· What is the competition for the product in the target country and does it require product modification?

· How should the product be packaged for international shipping to the target country?

· What servicing is required of the product

Promotion Strategy

· How will US company need to modify current promotional methods for new foreign market? (i.e. Will you need to translate materials, modify website, will the company to have a different message, etc.?)

· How will the US company promote to potential buyer representatives in your target market?

· What promotional methods will be used to get customers in your target market?
