Standard:1.2.F.2 Students will orally read the grade-level text at an appropriate rate, smoothly

and accurately, with an expression that connotes comprehension.

Goal: Students will listen and speak effectively in a variety of situations with understanding

what was orally comprehended from the story on their level.

Student-centered objective-The students will listen to an audio recording for 5 minutes and

give feedback on what they have gained.

Performance-centered objective: The students will apply different communication skills in

sharing their ideas.

Content-oriented objective: Students will read 1 page of grade one level text smoothly and

accurately with appropriate expression

Standard 2:1.2.PC.1- Students will correctly form letters and use appropriate spacing for letters,

words, and sentences using left-to-right and top-to-bottom

Goal: With comprehension progress, students will be able to write a complete sentence with

punctuation and capital letters from left to right.

Student-centered objective: Students will develop foundational skills for reading and writing

proficiency by working with sounds, letters, and text. The students will identify the parts of

spoken words in ten different ways.

Performance-centered objective: The students will demonstrate their understanding of

Organization and basic print features by studying five samples presented and identifying at least

two.

Content-oriented objective: Students will encode and write ten words by applying phonics and

word analysis skills in context and isolation.

Standard 3: 1.2.R.1 Students will retell or reenact significant events in a text, focusing on

essential details to recognize the main

Goal: Students will understand the main focuses on reading with understanding and recognize

what was just read with a question.

Student-centered objective::Students will apply critical thinking skills to reading and writing

and read and comprehend increasingly complex literary and informational texts.

Performance-centered objective: The students will analyze literary text that includes historical

and cultural context.

Content-oriented objective: The students will thoughtfully and intentionally write 250 words

compiling what they have read and understood from the text
