DEVELOPING RESEARCH-BASED SOLUTIONS
Overview
Preparation
Expand upon your existing knowledge through the review of at least six more peer-reviewed journal articles found in the Capella Library. In choosing these articles, apply the insight you have gained into transferability issues and choose articles describing research projects that you believe would have a high level of transferability into your place of professional practice.
Including the two research reports you located for the last assignment, you should now have a minimum of eight research reports and journal articles in all. Be sure all eight are research reports and journal articles from peer-reviewed journals located in the Capella Library.
Instructions
Your report should be 1000–1500 words, and it should follow APA style and formatting protocols. Refer to Evidence and APA and the APA 7th edition manual for specifics.
Your paper should include the following sections:
Introduction
In this first section of your assignment, offer a more extensive description of the problem in your field of professional practice that you began to describe in the Examining Research-Based Solutions assignment. In this analysis, you should cover the following points:
· Explain why the problem is detrimental to your professional practice.
· Explain how widespread the problem is, how many people it affects in your organization, and whether or not similar problems are found in similar organizations.
· Describe factors that contribute to cause and maintain the problem, such as organizational policies, a lack of staff training, insufficient funds, and so on.
· If there have been previous attempts to resolve the problem, you should offer a brief description of those as well as the degree of success in resolving the problem that was achieved.
Note: APA formatting states that the first paragraph of a manuscript or paper is assumed to be the introduction; therefore, you should not title this section as such in your paper. Please title the sections below.
Examination of Relevant Research Reports
Analyze the research articles to find relevant information for your problem in professional practice. Look for patterns and trends that you see running through the research projects, and for common themes among the research findings. In addition to similarities or common themes, look for differences between the research findings and conclusions, and explain why differences in research findings are important. Synthesize the information to develop insight.
Discuss each theme in detail, using in-text citations so your readers understand which of these eight research reports you are drawing information and insight from during your discussion.
Note: When writing your report, it would be best to use Level 2 headings to identify each theme. Refer to the APA manual for appropriate guidance on formatting the various levels of APA headings. This should be a very extensive section of your assignment, about 300–400 words or more in length.
Research-Based Solutions for Your Problem
Based on your analysis of the eight research articles as well as your understanding of the transferability of the research findings they contain, synthesize the information to develop strategies and solutions to your problem in professional practice.
Develop descriptions of research-based solutions to the problem that you plan to present to your supervisor. Present these in the order of effectiveness, according to the best of your understanding. (Use a Level 2 heading for each one). If you have any concerns about the transferability of the research findings associated with a particular solution, be sure to mention them.
