EC Project 1

1- Our Vision!

To support the Royal Commission Sectors' educational institutions and their

members' by meeting their technological needs and supporting faculty in the

development of quality online courses and programs to improve student learning

outcomes and productivity.

2- E-Training and MOOCs

The center provide different forms of training such as Instructor Training, new faculty

Orientation, administrative employees training as well as regularly runs group

training sessions and workshops year-round. E-Learning Centre provides Technology

Skills Training workshops which focus on helping intended audience develop the

skills they need to perform specific technology involved tasks.

3- E-Tools

The E-Learning Center offers various E-learning platforms and tools for teaching and

learning purposes. ELC unit coordinators offer ongoing training to faculty and

students throughout the academic year to facilitate the use of these tools for designing

e-learning content.

4- BlackBoard LMS

BlackBoard is the main Learning Management System used by the sectors'

institutions. It is used for designing course materials, assignments, quizzes, forums,

gradebook, lessons, etc… and serves for communication with students through

ongoing training programs conducted by the LMS Unit trainers. Faculty and students

are trained on using the system through ongoing training programs conducted by the

LMS Unit trainers.

5- E-Learning Center Facilities

There are a number of Facilities available at the E-learning Center including:

Brainstorming Halls, Multi Purpose Hall(MPH), Elearning Studios and Classes

The center enables all Royal Commission Members to have access and use its
