Assignment Objective: The objectives of this assignment are as follows:
1. Import a .txt dataset into SPSS 2. Become familiar with the SPSS operating environment, including the SPSS data window,
SPSS syntax window and SPSS output window. 3. Become familiar with SPSS pull down menus to perform statistical data analysis. 4. Understand and use SPSS syntax being generated by GUI commands. 5. Save SPSS dataset, syntax and output for future use in a project.
Data Sources:
UCHomeSales.txt Individual/Group: This is an individual project. Students are expected to do their own work. Assignment Deadline: Tuesday, March 10, 2020 Method of Submission/Deliverables: Print out hard copies of the following SPSS Output including the syntax generated to create these items.
1. A screen shot of the SPSS variables in Variable View. 2. The descriptive statistics table generated for:
A. Sales Price. B. Days on Market C. Estimated Square Feet D. Number of Bedrooms E. Number of Bathrooms
3. The following items from the simple linear regression you will perform using sales price as the dependent variable, and square feet as the independent variable: A. Model Summary Table B. ANOVA Table C. Coefficients Table
4. The following items from the multiple linear regression you will perform using sales price as the dependent variable, square feet as one of the independent variables, and any additional independent variable(s) of your choice. A. Model Summary Table B. ANOVA Table C. Coefficients Table
Note: You can print out the requested output by imbedding it into a Word document, or printing out only those items from an HTML file. I DO NOT NEED NOR WANT THE SPSS DATASET.
