I am confused by this paper. There is far too much about government regulations which really belong in Part 3. Then there is a lot about Post WW2. This is confusing because that would be 1945ish time period, but you are writing about 1970-1980. I don't understand how this all fits together.

My big concern is that I don't see anything about elasticity (specifically price elasticity of demand, but extra points if you included income elasticity or cross price elasticity in a meaningful way. More than just one sentence.)

Topic:

Select a 5-10 year (FEDERAL EXPRESS 1970-80) period of time and analyze the microeconomic issues impacting a particular company (FEDERAL EXPRESS) during that period of time. You should be looking for issues and topics that we have covered in this course and how you can apply those concepts to a real world situation. The same company and time period will be used for all 4 parts of the project.

Requirement: IMPORTANT (MUST ANSWER ALL THE QUESTIONS IN TH ESSAY)

What industry and time period will you analyze? The time period selected should be

roughly a 5-10 year period when something interesting was occurring with the company.

1. Give a description of the major competitors in the market.

2. What type of products are produced? Are they identical or differentiated? Does this change during the analysis period?

3. How have consumers influenced the market? What have the consumers done to change the industry? Consider things like the determinants of demand, price elasticity, income elasticity and cross-price elasticity.

5 sources! Submit a report that is 2-3 pages long, typed double-spaced. This report should be well written with a introduction and conclusion and use appropriate citation.
