The Royal Footwear business invested in a well managed supply chain management. The success of supply chain relies on the professionals in the field that play their similar roles by cooperating with other supply chain teammates to execute the following processes flawlessly planning, procurement, distribution and customer interface. The Royal business supply chain management is focused on customer interface where the demand process involving planning on engaging customers, need satisfaction and also delivering orders on time. The Royal business has segmented the customers based on their service needs because the business operates in a physical store and also online platform. The online customers order for shoes which are then delivered through third party logistics firm that delivers in a fast and efficient manner. There are minor complains from the footwear customers concerning the case of third logistics distributor but the organization is looking forward to obtain a customized logistics network promoting quality services and gain profits from a specific customer group. It is important for every organization to listen to the market signal and ensure there is an alignment in demand planning across supply chain to ensure resource allocation and consistent forecast is achieved (Sutono, 2019). Q
4. apply a SWOT analysis to your business.
Answer:
SWOT analysis is a technique used by organizations in assessing strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the business. Royal Footwear Company has several strengths that make it in a steady business progress and also have weaknesses encountered in the general market (Markgraf, 2019). The strengths associated with Royal business are that it targeted the right customers by focusing on men’s footwear due to the high population of men in Saudi Arabia. Selecting the right customers was the best idea that contributed to the success of Royal business in a competitive market. The second strength is the adoption of online store business where customers order for shoes online and specify the location for delivery purposes. The weaknesses experienced in the business include the supply chain management in place that posed a challenge during implementation because the company relies on a third party logistics firm creating delays in delivery. The best way the organization is planning to solve the problem is through developing its own logistics firm to ensure delivery is done efficiently and management of supply improved. The Royal company also have opportunities in place after the introduction of e-SCM that makes business processes efficient and expanding the scope and target more potential customers. One of the threats that the organization might face is the development of several online businesses dealing with footwear creating a direct competition with Royal footwear business (Markgraf, 2019).
