Homework Assignment #7 – the last one!
Due: Week 9, Tues. 3/5/19
There is a two-part assignment this week.
1. (5 pts) A Learning Styles test and a Multiple Intelligence test are posted on D2L in the Class Notes section. Take both of these tests and write a paragraph discussing your results. Some points you could address are: What kind of learner are you? What kind(s) of intelligence do you have? Did these results surprise you? Will this knowledge impact your strategy to be an effective student? Do you think these tests are useful?
2. (15 pts) Two problems concerning complex numbers and their use in circuits.

= ? Give your answer in both rectangular and polar form to three significant figures. I strongly encourage you to do this problem on your calculator, not by hand. You could also try doing it in MATLAB.b) (10) Problem 5-27 in the textbook. This is a long problem involving finding impedances, currents and voltages using complex numbers. Use your calculator for the number calculations, but show the equations you use. Ask if you need help!
Note that the impedance of the capacitor can be written several ways: ZC =

Your project group should be working on finishing the project in preparation for the demonstration on Tues. 3/12, and also be prepared to write a group project report and do individual teamwork assessments. We will discuss more about this in class. Let me know if you have any questions or problems concerning the projects.
