Standard – Social Studies
|
HSS-3.1: Students can describe physical and human geography through the use of maps, tables, graphs, photographs, and charts. All these will help them to organize information about people, places, and environments. |

Objectives
|
ELA: · Students will read a text about different environments and find out the main idea. · Students will write a short summary that explains crucial details that support the main idea. Social Studies: · Students will explore different areas of human and physical geography. · Students will compare and contrast their own community with another studied in class. |

Social Studies Pre-Assessment
|
Students will create a collage by use of images and symbols that represent the environment studied (Yemini et al., 2023). They shall use art supplies like magazines, colored paper, and markers to make their collages. The students can compare their collages with their peers to foster creativity and visual expression. |

|
ELA Pre-Assessment
|
Students will listen to a text read-aloud by their teacher about various environments. They shall be tasked to draw a comic strip that depicts the main events of the story. Drawing materials shall help them to visualize the story’s structure. |
||
|
Grouping Strategy |
The groups contain students with similar special education needs so that they can have their developmental issues managed. |
||
|
Using the class profile, group the students into four groups. |
