Evidence-Based Practice Paper and Presentation Guidelines

Rubric/Grading

· The grading rubric specifies how points are allotted for the paper and presentation.

· See course syllabus regarding the percentage of the course grade allotted to this assignment.

Paper

The paper will include the Title Page, 2-3 full pages for the Main Body of the paper, and a Reference page.

The paper must include a minimum of 1 professional nursing article published within the past 5 years .

Article must be research or evidence based from a nursing journal. The article must have a minimum of one nurse author.

Opinions, blogs, editorials, position statements, etc. are not research or evidence based.

Discuss one health initiative within your paper and presentation as described below and how it relates to your topic. See specific health initiative per course:

Discuss implications for nursing practice

Paper will be submitted to Turnitin, which checks for plagiarism and similarity.

Papers must be submitted in Word or RTF format (not pages format)

The reference page is not included in the similarity report.

Paper must be less than 25% similarity per Turnitin in order to be eligible for grading.

APA 7th Edition Guidelines for Student Papers

Follow the APA 7th edition guidelines for Student papers (not professional papers)

General formatting:

· One inch margins all sides

· Header should only have the page number right aligned one inch from the margin on every page

· Preferably in Times New Roman size 12 font, black

· Paper includes a title page, body of the paper, and a reference page

· Do not abbreviate without spelling out the word. Too many abbreviations make a paper difficult to read.

· Do not include any of the following: running head, abstract, footer, or footnotes
