Final Exam Spring 2021
Due Date: April 23rd (no exceptions)
Purpose: To write a two-page essay based on one of the prompts below. Your essay should be fully developed with a solid introduction, a clear three-point thesis, supporting paragraphs including transitions and examples from one of the plays to support your analysis. DO NOT USE OUTSIDE SOURCES BEYOND THE PRIMARY TEXT. If you go on the Internet, and cut and paste from different Internet websites, then you will earn a “0” on your final exam. I will try to find a good critique on YouTube for Ibsen’s play, but I believe there is enough material on Glaspell’s one act play posted for you to incorporate in your essay. You can incorporate material from the YouTube videos that are posted into your essay, but you clearly should introduce the source. For example, you can say based on the you tube movie adaptation of “A Doll House”, Nora is……”
Format: MLA, typed, double space using a 12 point font.
Choose one of the following prompts:
From Minnie Wright’s perspective, write a fully developed essay (2 pages) in which you justify your actions (three-point thesis) in asking readers to understand why you had no choice, but to do what you did to your husband.
