Project Overview

Technology is changing rapidly and manufactures gadgets are advancing every passing minute. As the technology advance gadgets are becoming obsolete and unresponsive to changing trend. These changes are leaving behind piles of unusable electronic gadgets categorized as e-waste. Currently, it is the fastest growing, most variable, and most hazardous.

Purpose and Objectives

The project seeks to sensitize the community and individual on appropriate ways of managing e-waste and reduce the possible hazards. Also, the project is to provide avenues for proper e-waste management at individual and family level.

Risks

E-waste is very hazardous and requires proper handling and disposal. But the most profound risk is physical injuries due to lifting, inhaling chemical dust, and cuts from sharp objects. There is no specific timeline for project completion; it depends on the how fast the community will adopt the project.

Project Schedule

The project has no specific schedule for completion. However, it is divided into inception which will be a campaign to sensitize on what is e-waste, its value, and its hazards. The second phase will entail developing an application guide on how to manage e-waste at individual and family level. The last phase will be continuous encouraging individuals and families to dispose of e-waste.

Project Budget

The project will cost approximately $500 in the short run. Much of this cost will go to the social, local media campaign. The cost estimate, in the long run, the cost will most likely increase. However, at the maturity of the project, the cost will be negligible.

Communication Management

Progress meetings will be held once per week. The team will hold e-meeting to address the issue of distance and transport. This approach will save time and increase efficiency.

Tracking and Status Updates

Each member will be required to post regular updates on areas assigned. The team will set milestones and indicators to show progress and achievements.
