Literature Review & Recommendations for Change:

The dreaded lit review! But this section is not as hard as it seems if you follow the lit template I placed in Canvas (listed under the grading rubric, templates, and exemplar module). I highly recommend that you use this template to help you gather and organize your articles for this section. It will make this step less tedious as it seems.

· Use 5-10 peer-reviewed articles, relevant textbooks, and/or legitimate primary sources that pertain to your topic.

· Sources need to be within 5 years. If you are using classic, seminal work, you must state why this is relevant to your topic.

· Also include a Method section (what keywords/phrases? what databases?) you used for your search. Use APA formatting and appropriate level headings for this section. See diagram below for APA level headings:

· Include an Analysis of literature section: Each article examined and used in this section should have min/max 1-2 paragraphs!

· Discussion of literature: The last paragraph of your literature should describe what common themes were found and how the literature is deficient/weak in solving your topic/problem. This is key! You are trying to show how your problem is relevant to discuss!!

· Recommendations for Change

· In this section, you will demonstrate how you can create change within your practicum facility/organization. How can you convince the organization to support change? Why is this change significant/impactful? Remember, you are trying to convince someone why your topic is important and that practices need to change.

· -Use as level I & II headers: desired outcomes of practicum project, final recommendations with rationales, leadership support (will or will not give), financial/economic impact, healthcare delivery impact. Each heading should have a min/max of 1-2 paragraphs each.
