2)  Apply PL to construct a symbolic model of the logical structure of each of the following sentences.  (2 points, 1 point each)

2.1) If you are happy with the status quo, you vote for the president's party, but there's a lot of discontent about the economy and terrorism and racial polarization. 

 

2.2) If you or someone in your family had health coverage in 2016 then the provider of that coverage is required to send you a Form 1095-A, 1095-B, or 1095-C.

 

 

3) Consider the problem below.  Answer the question given after the description of the problem.   Answering this question requires the use of your propositional reasoning skills.  Construct a symbolic model of the logical structure of your reasoning, i.e., model the logical structure of your premises and your conclusion. You manage a graphic design company that includes web page design.  Ms. Nhia Toa has come to see you for help in designing a web page for her new business.  In your meeting with Ms. Toa, you determine the following:

 

Ms. Toa can use a highly interactive web page or a web page consisting primarily of text. 

She needs to have budgeted at least $1,000 for the web page design if she uses a highly interactive page.

She has not budgeted at least $1,000 for the web page design.
