This could be aligned with my selected objective #8 (Determine aviation maintenance record keeping and documentation requirement and understanding the legal and ramification of maintenance documentation).

Boeing is the biggest commercial and military aircraft builder in the world. Also, the company is one of the largest aircraft exporters and one of the world’s most admired with a culture of quality that transcended its founder, with employees more than 153,000 people across U.S. and in more than 65 countries (Thompson, 2016). Unfortunately, Boeing reputation has a negative perception due to falsifying maintenance documents. In this research paper, we will look at the risk which impacts Boeing, discover what led to the Boeing employees falsified documents, any maintenance management problem, and what solution need to be done to correct and eliminate future falsification of documents.

Proper aircraft maintenance is particularly important for keeping aircraft and aircraft components in a top-notch condition. Therefore, every detail mechanic works or performs inspection, FAA rules require him or her written down and certify accurate records of the task performed. According to Murdock (2019), “Whether the mechanic replaces an engine or simply tinkers with a gauge, the logbook must collect its due.”(para. 7). Aviation is very essential to every day’s economy, unforeseen flight risks must be eliminated or curtailed to avoid expensive and tragic consequences. This proper maintenance required aviation maintenance technician obtains proper training and safety awareness, especially documenting of the work performed.. However, when an aviation maintenance technician failure to record or intentionally falsifies his or her work could lead to profound consequences.
