The following guidelines are for all the written assignments and project reports.
1. Referencing
The Harvard Referencing style must be used to support all sources of information used in writing your assignments. A reference list (in Harvard Referencing format) must be provided at the end of the assignments. Harvard Referencing guide is available through Blackboard.
2. Format and Writing Guidelines
The assignments must be typed on white A4 paper with 1.0 spacing, and a 1" margin at the top, bottom, left and right of the page. A font size of 14 points for main headings, 13 for sub-headings and 12 for the text is required. Times New Roman font is preferred.
3. The penalty for Late Submission of Assignment and Project Report
Due dates will be firmly adhered to and hence extensions will be approved only in cases of demonstrated urgent need. A penalty of 20% per day will be deducted from the assessment mark and after 4 days, a zero mark will be recorded.
4. Plagiarism
Students who copy the work of others without proper sourcing will receive a zero on the assignment. Plagiarism is considered cheating and will not be accepted. Students who plagiarize will be reported to the concerned authorities in the college and upon review may receive: (1) Warning, (2) Probation, (3) Suspension, or (4) Expulsion.
