Chap 6 DQ & Text Problems – Dr. Nelson Page 1 of 1
Discussion Questions and Problems
This is an Excel/Math-based course and all work should be submitted via the platform noted,
unless otherwise stipulated. Weekly work is submitted to Blackboard (Course Content) by due
date/time. Submit work utilizing MS Word (writing and figure sketches), or Excel (math and
sketches) for Discussion Questions. Text Problems mainly require math (Excel), but can also be
answered in writing like Chapter 1. Keep the Word and Excel files separate for submission.
Discussion Questions will be based on a variety of sources such as the text, class
handouts and PowerPoint sets. All Math Exercises will have numbers corresponding to
Text. Questions not found within the text will be noted as Overview Discussion
Questions. Succinct, articulate discussions are the best approach for answering DQs.
Generally, each discussion should be in the range of 60 - 75 words.
Exercises will likely be from those throughout the chapter, unless otherwise noted. All
must contain embedded Excel formulation (or other math software), where applicable.
You need to be the original author for your submission, so don’t copy/paste from anyone
else. The only exception is when Team work is provided as one submission.
