Summary.

The Dove Drops Ad attracted the attention of many people worldwide because it conveyed a message that elicited mixed reactions from people having different origins in terms of race (RT America, 2017). Many people have been facing challenges either in a foreign country or even their own countries due to the increased rate of discrimination based on their races. Racial prejudice has been a menace to most of the countries, an aspect that has led to the suffering of many people who face challenges at workplaces, embarrassment in public places, obstacles in learning institutions, among many other challenges.

With respect to the question that is based on the video clip provided, it can be deduced that although the ad developer may not have been motivated with any aspect of racism, it is clear that the black color has been utilized symbolically to stand for dirt or dirtiness on the other the white color within the ad has been deployed to signify the level of cleanliness. The blacks have been associated with a dirt culture, and the dove has been deployed to wash them to become clean. The intended message of the ad was vague. Many could interpret the scenario as use of dove will help wipe off all the black color and ensure only the white existed and to some, it seemed racism of highest order since white’s behavior has been regarded as dominating with quality traits, unlike the blacks whose color is impure and not long-lasting (Balakrishnan, 2017).
