Description of Food Taste Test

The quality of a product is what guarantee the success of a brand. People pay close attention at

the brand and the packing when they buy a product. For this essay, we wanted to compare three

different brands of Vanilla Ice cream to know which one is the best. Even though the three Ice

creams were the same flavor, they differ in many aspects for example, they tasted, smelled and

looked totally different, some were better than the others and we will discuss which one is the

best.

To make a valid and fair experiment to compare the quality of the Ice creams, I started looking at

the temperature on my freezer, and it was -2ºC. I let them freeze in the same freezer for the same

amount of time, approximately for 5 hours to make sure that the ice creams were totally frozen. I

got the three Ice creams out of the freezer and I immediately served them on a recipient to record

the video.

The first Ice cream sample the brand it's called EFE, this Ice cream was very rich, smelled like

vanilla, was creamy, sweet enough and had the perfect taste of Vanilla, this one didn’t melt fast

which is a very important factor. We can evidence the quality of the product for the presentation

of the container, the material was the one with the best quality. In my opinion, this one was the

most expensive Ice cream because It had the better quality. This Ice cream was white as

normally vanilla ice creams are.

The second brand was La Argentina. This ice cream had no smell. I didn’t like how this Ice

cream tasted and how it looked. This Ice cream was sour, felt airy, does not taste like vanilla and

was not creamy at all. It looked like a homemade ice cream. The ingredients did not have a

homogeneous texture and the packing was not attractive, the blue color and the logo of the brand

doesn’t seem attractive, it seems weak and that they used bad materials. About the price, this Ice

cream was the cheapest one. The color was the whitest one and the Ice cream had parts of ice

because the consistency wasn’t creamy.

The third Ice cream brand was Tio Rico, this Ice cream was good, creamy, tasty, but at the end it

leaves a weird flavor in the mouth and felt very greasy that you can taste the fat. This Ice cream

also melted super-fast. The packing was good, very attractive and the best one referring to

quality-price because It had a good taste and the price its affordable, but the problem was that

this brand may uses much fat in the Ice creams and that may be the reason why the color is very

yellow and not white as vanilla ice creams usually do. A valid experiment to know which Ice

cream contains better quality ingredients would be to serve the same amount of each ice cream

on a bowl and put them it in the sun direct to see which one melt first.

We can conclude after evaluating all the Ice cream that the choice for the best Ice cream was

EFE, the first Ice cream sample. This Ice cream in comparison with the other two was the better

tasting, better quality, better packing that attracted people and finally the price was good because

the product it's worth the price.
