For this assignment, you will make a PowerPoint presentation based on a scenario and the

Regional Hospital case study at the end of Chapter 14.

Prior to beginning work on this assignment,

• Read Chapter 14 of the textbook.

o Specifically read the “Case Study: Regional Hospital” section at the end of the

chapter.

• Consider reviewing Chapters 6 and 10 of the textbook.

Scenario: Imagine that you are an external consultant hired to work with hospital administration and the human resources department. You are required to create a PowerPoint for a presentation to hospital administration. Read the Case Study: Regional Hospital section of Chapter 14, and then design a PowerPoint that addresses the prompts below.

In your eight-slide PowerPoint presentation,

• Evaluate at least three reasons why using an HR metrics and workforce program could

be useful to the Regional Hospital.

o For example, explain “where” and “how” metrics and analytics might be applied

to this organization.

• Identify three analyses and associated metrics that might be useful for Regional Hospital

to consider.

• Explain how Regional Hospital can utilize benchmarking as a part of its metrics and

analytics effort, if at all.

• Describe advice you would offer to managers at Regional Hospital about developing a

program of HR metrics and workforce analytics.

• Explain potential problems that may occur in the establishment of an HR metrics and

workforce analytics program for Regional Hospital managers about which you would

want to alert them prior to beginning this project.

The Regional Hospital Case Study Presentation

• Must be at least eight slides in length (including title and references slide) and

formatted according to APA Style (Links to an external site.) as outlined in the Writing

Center’s How to Make a PowerPoint Presentation (Links to an external site.)

• Must include a separate title slide with the following:

o Title of presentation in bold font

▪ Space should appear between the title and the rest of the information on

the title page.

o Student’s name

o Name of institution (The University of Arizona Global Campus)

o Course name and number

o Instructor’s name

o Due date

• Must use at least two scholarly sources in addition to the course text.
