I want someone to write my essay
1. Do you get the recommended servings of fruits and vegetables per day? If yes, how do you make sure you get both on a daily basis? If no, what are some of the barriers that prevent you from getting all your fruits and vegs daily?
Ans: No, one hardly gets the recommended serving of fruits and vegetables per day. In fact, the fruit and vegetable intake is unbelievably low as compared to the regular consumption of junk food. One of the major reasons is that these healthy food options cost much more than a pack of chips. Even when one is determined to make them a part of the daily diet, one finds it hard to afford. The second biggest barrier is the addiction to fast food and the emphasis on trying out a variety of artificial flavors. I believe that the taste buds have developed a strong habit of having junk food and are not ready to accept healthy alternatives.
2. Which of the 4 "fixes" from the first article would you say could potentially help YOU increase your vegetable intake the most? (can be more than one or all 4!) Why?
There are two fixes that can change my diet habits. Firstly, if the government subsidizes the fruits and vegetables, it would be much easier for me to purchase them on daily basis. Also, since I'll be able to afford them, I'll have no reason to convince myself against not having them. Secondly, I believe that if celebrities promote the intake of fruits and vegetables, and smart marketing strategies are adopted, it would have an impact on me.
3. How important is a topic such as this to you in your everyday food choices?
Being a person who's struggling with changing disturbing and unhealthy eating habits, this topic is of great significance for me. This topic has helped me realize the importance of having a healthy and balanced diet by drawing comparisons between different food choices.
4. What other questions/concerns come to mind after reading this article?
One major concern that crosses my mind is the fact that even if people shift to eating fruits and vegetables, a vast majority is unaware of the nutritious value and other characteristics of each and do not realize which fruit and vegetable combinations are safe and which ones are not. For example, a person might come up with a new smoothie recipe, thinking they are having a healthy diet but not realizing that the recipe is not the best combination of ingredients.
