Mental Illness and Popular Culture

Describe a movie that you have seen that a person had some kind of mental illness. How did you know that the person had a mental illness, and if you can remember (now we have google and you can look it up), what mental illness did the character had.

As described in Chapter 12, insanity is a legal term that determines a person's competency in standing trial for a crime they have committed. Do you think we use mental illness as a justification for criminal activity, or is it not used enough?
