SYNTHESIZE THEN SUMMARIZE. 

Citations is needed for literature.

Harvard style referencing.

Look at Lecture note 2 page 8, 20, 21 for meaning of synthesize.

Tips:

UK Main market = 1st board

Aim market = 2nd board

International market = ignore.

Compare IPO and closing price to know if underpricing or not.

2.4 Impact of venture capitalist in IPO underpricing 

Search IPO 1st board and 2nd board for VCs and make a comparison. Look under IPO prospectus to find info (maybe in search company one by one). Eg if there are 150 IPOs, if you choose to do 30, have to justify why maybe those 30 are VC backed + underpiced, the rest are non VC backed or overpriced.

2.5 Summary (100 words)

(2.2 + 2.4 = 1,000 words) could be 2.2 300/400/500 words 2.4 500/600/700 words, depending on situation.

3.2 Research context » Country, industry, listing (e.g. Main Board vs Second Board)

3.3 Research method » Quantitative (with justification), sample size and year selection and significance» Measures used (e.g. CGI, RIR, CSRI, etc)

Up till date is until here only. Lecturer also send me some scholar journal to refer to. I have done some research too. His advice was to read at least 30 scholar journal before we start. chapter 2 & 3 is due on 21/9/18 6pm.
