Answering Questions 1

Module 1 - Part 1) Analyze and write a comprehensive one-page discussion on why, where, when, and how Islam developed and spread: begin with the year 632 CE (death of the Prophet Muhammad) and discuss the factors and the years leading to the spread of Islam from Mecca and Medina to the Arabian Peninsula, Iran, Levant, North Africa, Spain, Central Asia, the Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia, and more recently, Australia, North America, and Europe. Conclude your response with a current news event that indicates the present day state of Islam. 

Module 2 - Part 2) Create a table (chart, or some other visual format) that demonstrates the similarities and differences pertaining to birth, how life is to be lived, death, and the Afterlife, among the three monotheistic/Abrahamic traditions.

Module 3 - Part 3) Explain in a one-page response why Jerusalem is at the heart of the Israel-Palestine conflict; make sure to analyze the central role of Jerusalem in the conflict and justify why all the three monotheistic traditions, as well as as Israel and Palestine, lay a claim to the "holy" city of Jerusalem.

The Discussion Board response must answer all the three questions and be free of spelling and grammatical errors. Make sure to proof read your response before posting.

ADDITIONALLY, students MUST respond to any two of their classmates’ Discussion Board posts in a meaningful and substantial way.
