Discussion: Organizational Behavior Defined

Organizational behavior is about how decisions and actions are affected and/or impacted by human (individual and team) behaviors and actions. It is about the difference between concept and application and how challenging it can be – no matter the study and research – to determine whether a plan will succeed until it is actually implemented in the workplace when one can assess whether the plan actually worked as originated. 

Initial Post

In this first discussion question, provide a brief, direct definition of organizational behavior that any employee would completely understand. Next, choose any topic associated with organizational behavior (the table of contents for the coursebook is a great place to start!). Then, give an example of how a new organizational strategy can change from concept to application. Finally, please include in your discussion those aspects that can influence a plan once it is implemented in the organization.
