Week 8: Crisis Intervention

For this week, I would like you to discuss a crisis situation you have dealt with so far with a client. What was the issue and how were you able to handle it? If you have not dealt with a crisis situation as of yet, discuss a situation that you feel uncomfortable dealing with and why? If you had to deal with the crisis situation, what intervention strategies would you utilize?

Week 9: Ethical and Legal Issues

For this week, please discuss an incident at your site that you think might have been an ethical/legal violation. What was the incident and how would you have handled the situation, according to our Code of Ethics (ACA)? How was the situation resolved at your site?

Week 10: Taking Care of Yourself

The mental health field has a high burnout rate, according to research. It is very important that we, as therapist, take care of ourselves. We are always taking care of our clients/patients, family members, and others. But what are you doing in order to take care of yourself. What do you like to do for fun that you realized that you’re doing more or less of, since starting your practicum?
