I need 200 words response to this two-discussion forum

Forum 1; After taking the Emotional Intelligence test, I noticed that I need to consider my own emotions more often. Emotional Intelligence is defined as “the innate potential to feel, use, communicate, recognize, remember, describe, identify, learn from, manage, understand and explain emotions” (n.d). Being aware of your own emotions is extremely important in the human services field. As a service coordinator, it is easy to become emotionally involved, especially if you're dealing with medically inclined clients who have developmental disabilities. It is also common for families to become emotionally dependent on you for help, however, protocols should still be enforced to make sure that boundaries are not overstepped.

I believe that emotional intelligence will positively impact my career in human services because it allows you to be professional and humble at the same time. Emotional Intelligence allows you to bring compassion and humanity to work. Those are two components that will reassure your clients and workforce that your intentions are pure and genuine. Entering the field of human services with emotional intelligence would not only benefit my career but my group work performance as well. Emotional Intelligence will help me see character traits and identify the feelings of my group members that other members of the group may overlook. It will serve as a constant reminder to consider the feelings and emotions of others around me, especially in a professional or work environment.

What can you do to continue to improve in this area?

Daniel Goleman’s Five Domains of Emotional Intelligence include “knowing your emotions, managing your own emotions, motivating yourself, recognizing and understanding other people’s emotions, and managing relationships” (Chapman, 2014, para. 7). In order for me to improve my emotional intelligence, I will need to be fully aware of my own emotions before giving advice or taking on a new case. This is something I am still working on as a new service coordinator at my job, however, I have seen some growth and improvement in myself since I started working there. For example, when the teamwork at my job began to feel one-sided end, it caused me to grow negative feelings toward the other members on my team because they were not pulling their own weight. In this moment, I had to revisit my emotions and express my feelings through effective communication.
