1. In you opinion, what are some efficient ways to handle hardware on a project

Im not really sure what the professor means by handling hardware, but I am going to assume its with the procurement and installation of said hardware throughout the project. In this case, I would be sure to order in bulk the type of hardware wanted and install in sections. For instance, order all the knobs, doors, hinges and such in complete at once and from the same vendor. Then, during installation, have all doors with hinges installed, then go back when all doors are completed to put on the knobs. This way the job is fluid.

One of the major advantages to a prefinished door is the look and final result being of extreme good quality. The prefit and prefinished doors come complete with no need to stain or make alterations in the field. This means that you wont have stain run and discolor the surrounding floor or ruin the look of the door itself. This leaves only installation in the field and no need for measuring and guesswork or cutting because it has already been completed to measurements taken before.

hardware management techniques, should be understood, which are items categorized in hardware for a construction civil project, of efficient way to  handle it hardware on a project, in my opinion can be ordered to handle effectively hardware on a project, categorize materials like safety items tools and spare parts, electrical and mechanical components, consumable materials. Arrange all the materials in a lay out as per their specifications a layout plan. for new items should have order items, item delivered, item received and physical inspection place. always maintain it proper, the record of every material which is used for the project. Make a waste management plan and implant it to every worker to always do vendor evaluation time to time and give rankings as per their quantities and timely compliance so that quantity can be enhanced.

In prefinished doors, all the accessories are profiting in the factory and these doors only required to connect with hinges before using.

These are advantages of these types of doors

For these doors, a customer does not require to arrange any labor or material, for its finishing and painting, so it is easy to handle it. Its saver timer, quantity assurance because all the work is done in factories at controlled situations so good quality is achieve, some properties like-resistance, the resistances can be introduced with paint or varnish materials, in factories with customized machine, so that It's life useful can be long-lived, it's easy to assemble quickly, architectural work can be done on it in it's design phase.

1. In your opinion, what are some efficient ways to handle hardware on a project?

I would say that the most efficient way to handle hardware is to do it in an order that relates to the estimate. What I mean by that is by the window, by the door, by the electrical panel, etc. The accessories should coincide accordingly and ordered per the plans and specs for the project. As small as they are, accessories and hardware play an important role. However, in the event something gets missed, it would be pretty easy to run down to a near hardware store to pick up what was missed. Unless they're specialty items that were made specifically for your project. In that case you could be dealing directly with a manufacturer and potentially looking at a time delay. Depending on the hardware missed, and the severity of the miss, you might have just delayed your project delivery unfortunately.
