History discussion questions

Discussion Ques+ons :

1. Figure 1 is a photograph of Emilie Flöge, a contemporary and friend of the members of the Vienna Secession and Wiener WerkstäDe. She had a professional and personal rela+onship with Klimt and collaborated with him to design dresses that she wore. Figure 2 is armchair designed by Moser ca. 1903 and made of elm (wood) and rush (grasses woven for the seat and back). Figure 3 is an oil on canvas pain+ng of Emilie Flöge by Klimt dated to 1902.

2. Choose ONE of the images below and discuss HOW it is similar to another object from the lecture on the Vienna Secession OR the Wiener WerkstäDe.

3. Focus on the details. Be crea+ve. Do not compare a pain+ng with a pain+ng or a photo with a photo or pain+ng.
