I believe that change is absolutely necessary for survival and success in the business world.  The market is constantly changing around us and in order to keep up, there need to be a means of measuring this change to accurately implement new ideas.  Frequent audits, for example, is a good way to keep up with the constant change.  Running current data against previous data to see the change keeps everything updated.  I think when a company does the proper analysis and sees that a certain standard is in need of updating is "when it's time for a change." Most importantly, a business needs to assess thoroughly before implementing any new idea. You can't jump the gun, because you may end up losing rather than gaining.

Chrysler was losing money and market share and had gone into a place where all its employees were bond to lose their job. The problem that led Chrysler to go through that phase was that it lacked the technology to provide the smaller, more efficient, fuel-saving vehicles the market was demanding. That’s why the alliance with Fiat saved it. The strategy that Fiat Chrysler is practicing now is that it sells more cars, with facelift models, it’s increasing cars' assembly lines to increase production of its more profitable products, and tries to equip more plants in different locations with better technologies, facilities and tools. Fiat Chrysler believes that “Some costly investments could start paying off”. So overall Fiat Chrysler is using the “competitive advantage” in their strategy plans, with technology and quality improvements. I think their strategy is really appropriate because they are focusing on both the corporate strategies and marketing strategies and that’s what makes them successful.
