Discussion Post

This post should be original, and you should start it in a new thread. The post should be related to a news article, or an event related to a company or the corporate world. For the news article log in to Financial times website (ft.com) and choose an article from there.

Do not just summarize the news article. Do some background research and provide it in your post. Explain the event in your post and express your original views about the event. You will be allocated points based on the following criteria:

a. This original post should be at least 550 words in length. 

b. Give a title to your post. Create a new thread and use the title when you post in Discussions.

c. Content of the post: explain the event, give background information about the event, explain the significance of the event

d. Your understanding of the topic. Do not make claims you can substantiate.

e. Quality of your writing: The reader should be able to clearly understand the point you are trying to make.

f. Ability to clearly communicate the event to the class.

g. Effectively expressing your own thoughts: show that you have the ability to discuss a corporate event effectively. Keep it relevant to the topic, keep it professional, avoid making extreme religious, political, or racial statements. (As someone who is about to graduate, this is an important skill to develop).

h. Organization of the post and thought: Organize your thoughts before writing the post, use subsections or headings, if necessary, avoid typos.

i. Make sure to list your sources.
