Do some research to see what distinguishes real science from pseudoscience.  Once you are comfortable telling them apart, identify a claim or idea that you've come across in your daily life that is presented as "science" but that you are now able to identify as pseudoscience. Make your idea or claim the name of your post. Clearly describe the claim or idea for classmates who may not be familiar with it.  Then carefully explain why it does not qualify as true science and must instead be classified as pseudoscience.  Respond to at least two of your classmates' posts, remembering to follow the netiquette rules (you may disagree, but do so in a respectful manner!).  You must make your post and respond to two classmates' posts by 11:59 PM on  __Sept. 23, 2021_______________________________________.  This assignment is worth 10 points.

There is an additional rule for this discussion assignment:  you may not choose the same idea or claim as a classmate! 

Note: you may do some research to further inform your responses—but make sure to choose your sources wisely based on your understanding of how to recognize science versus pseudoscience!  Also, remember that you must cite your sources and must make sure that all of the information you share in your post is in your own words.  No plagiarism will be tolerated! 

If any part of your post is found to be plagiarized, you will receive a zero on this assignment and the incident will be reported.
