Business Observations
Political stability experienced in the country provides a better platform for investors and operation of local businesses. There have been no political wrangles among the political parties. This leads to an increase in the number of investors, as the conducive political climate is suitable for investments. The second advantage emanates from the control of the government by Queen Elizabeth II. It creates a good relationship between the country and other states under her influence (Central Intelligence Agency,2015).
The primary concern is on the rising cases of corruption. Evidence unveils that in every three persons holding a public office, one of them used a bribe to get the position. The government and other stakeholders have minimal regulations put in place to counter the vice. This is a demoralizing environment for investors as corruption is a hindrance for fair playing grounds for businesses (Transparency International,2015).
The government should, therefore, set rules and regulations to be followed by any entity thriving in the country. Employers and employees will thus aid in reducing the Bribery and index and create more awareness on the disadvantages of the vice, thereby boosting the CPI of Jamaica.
