After viewing the video by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie "The Danger of a Single Story" which is uploaded in week five's content area, please respond to the following prompt:

Describe a situation where you made a false assumption about someone based on a single piece of information like the author described in the video.  What was the information and where did it come from?  What happened that made you realize your assumptions were incorrect?  

Even though the video presentation focuses on cultural and ethnic stereotypes, you can address other factors such as age, sexual orientation, religion, wealth or lack of wealth, profession, or countless other factors.
