Participating in course discussion boards is a key component of COH 440 course work. The discussion boards are the same as the classroom discussion in the classroom. You are expected to post 1 primary response to each of the 2 discussion topics and respond to 2 posts by your classmates (1 per topic). All posts should address the discussion topic/question, add to the discussion and encourage others to respond. You must have at least 1 reference in APA 6th edition format per initial post. You are encouraged to use your text and other credible sources in your threaded discussion posts. Your initial response to the topic/questions posed should be in paragraph format (1-2 paragraphs) have at least 150 words, be thoughtful, well written and, should include appropriate APA in-text citation(s) and reference(s) when applicable. Your response to classmates should follow the same format (at least 1 paragraph), should be respectful and contribute to the discussion. Each discussion/response pair is worth 5 points, for a total of 10 each week. Please refer to the Discussion Rubric Guidelines below. Remember that the discussion board is our classroom conversation for the online sessions.
