Discussion Board and Feedback

What is it ?

A discussion board is used to learn and interact with each other as well as the professor. You will be given a scenario or case study taken and/or adapted from the book. Read the Chapter from the book and answer the scenario assigned in the discussion assignment information.

What “products” are required?

You will be assigned in groups of 4 (or 5). You will submit 6 discussion entries and 18 “feedbacks” (3 per entry) over the course of the semester. The submission deadlines can be found on iLearn for each discussion and feedbacks. A minimum of 150 words per discussion submission is required and 50 words PER (each) feedback. Discussion entry is worth 6 points and each reply is worth 2 points each. Each total entry is 12 points. You are to respond to each groupmate. If a groupmate did not post by the assignment deadline, respond to a response from a groupmate on your post.

What constitutes a “thoughtful” Discussion entry and Feedback Entry?

There is no “right” answer, but rather how you interpret the situation and would handle it to te best of your ability, the more context you give, the better idea the instructor and groupmates will understand. After you have answered the scenario question, read your groupmates answer and engage with their posting asking questions, elaborating, or arguing against their answer.
