Module 8 Discussion
Negotiators play an important role when it comes to negotiations. It is important to understand that negotiators have the necessity to understand that there are various ways in which negotiations can be carried out. When a negotiation is being carried out the negotiators from both the parties would have to know what they are discussing and what are the advantages and disadvantages of the negotiation. They would also have to understand what sort of benefits or losses might incur to the team if a decision is being made.
Being fair is a necessity that any negotiator has to know and understand. It is necessary for the organizations to be able to dhow fairness towards the factors that are involved in the processing of the negotiation. negotiators and involved parties should develop a firm belief in fairness and ethics since it will make it easier to address some of the issues and concerns related to the discussions held (Bazerman & Lewicki, 2018). Organizational standards also play an important role in the negotiators discussions as they would form the base for any conflicts that are arising. The negotiator has to have a command over the discussion so that he could introduce his own tactics when required. There is a need for the negotiator to know what the topic is and what is at stake so that he could crack the deal without going much into loss. Hence, fairness is considered to be an important aspect in negotiation that is followed by every negotiator.
