1. What are your thoughts in response to Marxism?  Do you agree/disagree and why.

· Do you think it is relevant today?  Why or why not?

2. From the Cox reading, of the possible futures discussed, which do you see as most likely to occur? Or do you see another possible future not discussed by Cox?

· Use theory to make your argument, i.e.  Something like:

“As a Realist, I disagree with Cox’s conceptualization of the evolution of historical structures.  Like Waltz argued, anarchy is the force behind historical structures and thus the distribution of capabilities amongst states….blah, blah…I and because of that I think the future will be one of competition between China and the US for global hegemony.”

or

“I think the future will be in line with what Cox stated in #3 because…”
