50 to 50 points Demonstrates a sophisticated level of critical thinking as evidenced by accurately and thoroughly addressing the discussion topic: using information from at least the required quantity of scholarly sources outlined in the instructions to substantiate your position; clearly differentiating between opinion & evidence based statements; clearly identifying personal conclusions relating to discussion topic by due date.

40 to 49 points Demonstrates somewhat sophisticated level of critical thinking as evidenced by accurately and thoroughly addressing the discussion topic: using information from at least the required quantity of scholarly sources outlined in the instructions to substantiate your position; differentiating between opinion & evidence based statements; clearly identifying personal conclusions relating to discussion topic by due date.

30 to 39 points Demonstrates understanding by accurately and thoroughly addressing the discussion topic: using information scholarly sources, but does not meet the required quantity outlined in the instructions, to substantiate your position; differentiating between opinion & evidence based statements; identifying personal conclusions relating to discussion topic by due date.

0 to 29 points Demonstrates lack of understanding as evidenced by minimally addressing the discussion topic: uses information from non­ scholarly sources or does not use scholarly sources to substantiate your position; no differentiation between opinion & evidence based statements. Zero points if submitted after due date.

Peer Interactivity (30 points)
