Discussion: Enterprise Information System (150+150 = total 300 words)

By definition, the enterprise information system refers to the optimization, storage, and processing of data created and used by an organization. it can be expressed as any form of information system which enhances the functions of enterprise business operations through integration. The primary mission of utilizing these information systems is to provide leadership in information technology services to ensure that the organization's goals are met and most importantly provide effective customer care service. Further, the enterprise information systems offer also a full range of services linked to information technology, mainly for the executives to make top management decisions. The enterprise information systems offer high-quality services when it comes to handling large data volumes with the capability of offering support to deal with complex procedures in a company (Stair & Reynolds, 2016).

The enterprise information system is utilized together with the customer relationship management system as well as the supply chain management system to automate the processes of any business operation. This is possible as the enterprise information system offers a single platform that operates centrally in an organization while ensuring that the information is shared among all departments and stakeholders. summarizing the topic enterprise information systems can be used to increase the productivity/profitability of the business while at the same time reducing the unnecessary business cycles/practices.  

Using your workplace or conducting research on the internet to identify a Fortune 1000 company, discuss the use of technology in the organization. Based on the chapters in the textbook for this workshop’s reading, how does the technology innovation you found fit into the overall discussion of enterprise information systems in the text? What recommendations could you make toward improving the information systems?

currently, I am working with Xtreme technologies (DBA USA wheels & Tires) and most projects are related to technology innovation and the development of enterprise information systems. The main objective is to carry out our e-commerce operations efficiently, ensuring that the customers access their products and services right. in the meantime, all the data is created and stored in an efficient way that can help management in taking any decision regarding capital investment and new projects. XT is also providing IT solutions and Business optimization options to the retail customers of USA wheels. XT provides all social media solutions, supply chain finance solutions, and system development tools to the tire and wheel industry. We recently changed our ERP system to a cloud-based system for better utilization and security of resources. 

Some recommendations to Xtreme technologies are (some of them are already in pipeline).,

· Increase the internet bandwidth, currently, it is 500Mb and recommended to 1GB or more. 

· Use of marketing tools/apps to enhance our marketing campaigns. for example, FIVERR. 

· Conversion of all data in digitalized format. 

· Employees' training program for the use of new technological tools. as many employees are not familiar with these systems efficiently. 

· Conduct an audit of the company information to find out where the cost and bottlenecks are coming from. 

· Apply Big data analytics to company information to spot trends and to make future predictions about market and demand. 

· The hiring of new talent and professionals to make the system more efficient. .
