Brief overview: [Child Psychology: Parenting]
[If parents are parenting with the authoritive parenting style when making big decisions about situations and issues will children come back to their parents for help. Even though children argue that parents will not allow them to grow up that if they have a good relationship, the child will seek their advice.]
[The topic is adolescents and decision making]
[To show how the type of parenting style have affect on their children.]
[Children that resist all authority good or bad.]
[1. Will children who have relationship with their parents make confident life decisions or always second guess their selves?
2. Even if the child is not confident in the parents will they go to friends or find another adult to go to.

In her evaluation of psychologies contribution to research to this topic is showing not having that relationship with parents the adolescent will be less like to feel comfortable coming to the parent to help with major decisions. Hmong American youth perceived less parental support and knowledge and were less likely to report authoritative decision making with parents(Small, Supple 2006 p 1 pg. 1214).
