The way Mr John Lewis pictures his own life and what he has gone through comparing it to people such Emmet Till, Rayshard Brooks, Sandra Bland among others , make the reader or analyzer deepen him/herself into what Lewis was really trying to make the reader catch making it the perfect way or writing style to hook people's attention. The writer start talking right away about how the compassion itself could for sure make a great a chance in people's behavior, and, in fact, the way people see each other between them discounting race, class, age, language and nationality, but instead bringing more respect for humanity. Seeing with respect not only your family members but the people who might be next to you just know. As he said "Millions of people motivated simply by human compassion laid down the burdens of division" I would absolutely agree with him since I think the same way as he expresses himself on his own words shortly before his death. I do not think my agreement has to do with my religion or with what my parents have taught me since little but its more because I do agree that in today's society people go blindfolded pretending they do not see what is happening out there between people of different races or lets say nationalities. I do agree, because I also want to make a chance, I haven't been insulted or bullied before due to any of those before mentioned like race, but because I have seen multiple cases of people who have been insulted, and that I don't like at all. A young teener for example might feel sometimes protected while being surrounded by parents , but in most cases, they do not. As Lewis said "their love could not protect me from the unholy oppression waiting just outside that family circle" how many time you see kids terrified of what might happen to them just after they are left in schools, and they do know there are bullies, just terrifying. This events in their lives could turn their lives into nightmares for years. To prevent them from passing through all this, today's society must start understanding how fundamental the respect among people is. Such inspirational worlds, which will make me try harder to make a chance, no violence included, but being part of the democracy process held on this country. Voting is one of the mayor keys if you want to see things start changing. Believe it or not, your vote counts, it always does, and if it for our own good, why cant we be part of it?

The last words of John Lewis before dying, reflect the hope that still must prevail in the face of acts of injustice to humanity. Due to such injustice to humanity, Lewis always found love and security in his "family circle" and also found fear when leaving that circle. I have understood then, that before as now we live in a society that lacks moral values, in which injustice prevails. In our society, love, respect for others and the moral lessons taught by the family have been lost, giving way to selfishness and disinterest in those most in need. Currently, we live in a society that clearly does not value human life, but rather despises the human being for the tone of their skin, their religion, their language and social status. However, Lewis teaches us that all problems have a solution and in his conciliatory style he manages to characterize social problems as "good problems", which will surely be solved by ourselves that having a great vision of peace we can build a better one. society in the near future.I consider that Lewis was referring to the fact that all of us are people with a great vision of peace, he was referring to the fact that the path has already begun and that together we can rescue family values, which are mainly love and respect for others and bring these values to our society to finally achieve the peace and justice so desired by all. Lewis inspires us to seek justice with peace, with respect and above all with love, he also encourages us to be brave, to be correct people and not to be silent in the face of injustice because silence makes us complicit in injustice. Lewis also inspires us to maintain hope, to study, to be better citizens and to understand that in our lives we will always have difficulties but with perseverance and correct action it is possible to achieve our dreams
