The main primary barrier that limits access to the eCommerce marketplace is language barriers. This structural barrier is a major issue because for eCommerce to be a global marketplace, majority of the Web content is U.S. focused and in English. There's limited face-to-face business interactions and because of this people are less likely to learn another language would use a translator instead. This is a country issue because it's culturally related and unique to each region. The solution to this barrier would be for more internal and external users open to learning the other language, especially English. The Internet is one of the most important international market tools for staff, suppliers, and consumers worldwide.

It's important for a global business to be a great corporate citizen because nowadays it's important to be environmentally conscious. This helps companies connect with the community about social concerns, bring awareness to the business, and have a respectable reputation. CSR brings value to a marketing team when the corporation markets while simultaneously donating to efforts that increase awareness. In today's global marketing environment businesses must be socially responsible.

The Internet is is a complex and endless field where anyone has a chance to compete against whoever with hopes of succeeding and prospering. E-commerce businesses such as Facebook, Google, Twitter, and Amazon are witnesses of what the Internet can offer. However, barriers such as searching for the right technology and partners are often experienced by hopeful developers. Retailers achieve growth through a good technology foundation. Shopping cart solutions, inventory management software, e-mail software, CRM systems, and analytics are crucial factors in any e-commerce business. Moreover, working with the wrong partners and agencies will limit the growth of any e-commerce business. Online businesses must have a clear set of qualifications for partners in order to make sure that their priorities and objectives are not being compromised.
