Discussion prompt: Aldo Leopold (1949/2010) famously said, "a thing is right when it tends to preserve the integrity, stability, and beauty of the biotic community. It is wrong when it tends otherwise" (p. 504). By “biotic community,” Leopold means the local ecosystem.
