Human resource management is the most important strategic approach for every project to manage human resources in the business. In the project, Human Resource Management (HRM) planning is one of the process to plan to achieve an effective outcome for the project. Developing an HRM plan will manage the human resource and helps to predict the needs of the project team. Project success is mostly dependent on various variables which include time, budget, and human resources to perform the project effectively. The plan creates a standard for recognizing necessary skills to achieve project success. Based on the analysis, it is identified that the HRM plan involves various activities like defining the needs of the project team, selecting a team, defining recruiting strategy, and providing training for the team. It will also involve evaluating the staff members who are necessary for the project's success. One of the important activity is defining the needs of the project where it will analyze how many members of staff are required for continuing the project (Heldman, Mangano, & Feddersen, 2016). Next, a project manager will use recruiting strategy to hire or outsource the project team. Depending on the project will hire the human resource and selects them based on the skills. Not only skills but also to fulfill the criteria for the current role. Majorly project managers should have human resource skills to resolve conflicts that arise in the project and to offer communication.
The main aim of developing an HRM plan is to ensure that project has sufficient resources with skills to complete the project efficiently. For example, considered one of the projects like developing a website so there is a need for staff members like software developers, network engineers, designers, test engineers, project manager, and many others. A project manager will implement an HRM plan to recognize project team needs and recruits them to develop the project effectively. Also, a project manager will use the responsibility assignment matric for the project. It helps to define roles in completing the task. After developing an effective HRM plan, project manager will gather the team to deliver the project within the estimated schedule and budget. In the project, if the project manager defines their roles and responsibilities then it will allow them to work properly as per the project requirement (Gido, Clements, & Baker, 2017). For the project, if developed HRM plan and managed the team properly then the team will work on the task on time and within budget the automatically attain success in the project. So, if the project teamwork is effectively based on the plan then there is a possibility to achieve success. Finally, it is understood that an HRM plan is an essential process for a project manager to create a plan and manage the project team who are involved in the project.
