Information Technology:

In the video below, you will hear about a few potential ethical dilemmas that could arise as technology and computers become more prevalent in society. Some questions you may want to consider, which will help you answer the questions required for your 150-word response are: if you were programming the self-driving car in the video, what would you program it to do in the situations provided? Be sure to complete each of the following steps:

1. Watch the (one) video above that pertains to your field of study and workplace that you will eventually find yourself working.

2. In a posting of at least 150 words with an IWG reference (your text is fine) address the following: consider the ethical dilemma you perceive in the video. In your opinion, what makes it an ethical dilemma?

3. Analyze the dilemma using the ethical theories described in the text. Pick one standpoint such as deontology, utilitarianism, virtue ethics, or the psychological approach to describe the dilemma. Justify why you selected the theory you did. Put on the "goggles" of the ethical theory and describe what the dilemma looks like through it.

4. Identify what you perceive to be the values or morals that are in conflict, which could be causing the dilemma.

5. Finally, from your vantage point, solve the dilemma. After analyzing the dilemma, make a decision - what would you choose to do in this case? Why did you choose this outcome?
