Discussion Questions:

Compare and contrast these two Florentine Renaissance sculptures of the biblical character David. The statue on the left is by Donatello and the one on the right is by Michelangelo. How does each artist characterize David? What does each sculpture convey about the artist? How might each sculpture have represented Renaissance Florence?
